Sencha Okuyutaka (おくゆたか)

I've recently got my hands on Sencha Okuyutaka. I live in Poland you see, and waiting 2-3 months for a shincha (first flush green tea) is not uncommon.
The tea is beautiful and delicate, yet packed with umami.
On my personal scale of green tea drinking (kukicha being the most casual, mug tea, and gyokuro being shiboridashi exclusive), this one is closer to gyokuro territory.
Every brew shows a different side, and it wants you to squeeze out the most of it. Almonds, fruits, flowers, freshly cut grass, sea. It's all there.

It's a gentle journey.
